Dan Jahn Photography & photospace photography internship

Where will I be working?

You will be working at the photospace studio in downtown Denver, CO.

What are the work hours for this internship?

The work hours are flexible. With some exceptions, you can pretty much set your own schedule, as long as you are able to work the number of hours required to complete the internship or get school credit. Each session must be at least 4 hours.

What is the dress code for this internship?

The dress code is very relaxed. You can wear pretty much whatever you like unless there is a client in for a shoot, in which you will be asked to wear a photospace shirt and jeans or slacks.

How do you decide on the interns you accept?

I look for self-motivators, those who take responsibility, creative, hard-working, and who can communicate well.

Will I be working with other interns?

This varies - I usually have two interns at any given time, but their hours do not necessarily overlap.

Do I need to bring anything along with me to this internship?

No.

Will I have an opportunity to take a lot of photos as part of this internship?

Yes. you will have an opportunity to shoot at times, however, most or all of this internship will consist of work that is required to run a photography business and assist on shoots. While this isn't as exciting as taking photos and the office work can be downright dull at times, learning the business aspect of photography is vital for anyone wanting to make a career out of photography. If you only consider photography a hobby and aren't interested in turning it into a business, this internship probably isn't for you.
